they use http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Disrupting_Chop
to avoid them Disrupting you use the skills 1-2s after each other
Example:
Use Prot. spirt...wait 1-2s (trolls will use Disrupting chop).... use healing brezze

Or another option is to add bonettis and just throw up bonettis that pretty much garentees they wont hit ya...

Due to a change by Anet in how aggro works, now Trolls, Minos, etc will gather and hit you for a bit. Then a few of them will run to the edge of the aggro bubble and wait their turn to start hitting you. Not sure why they changed this.

Aw, that update that came out on the 11th even made it worse, no way around this problem?
Is using SoJ causing the problem?

its cos SoJ does dmg to all the group, so all but 3 stay, just like with SS.

Having a 55 monk and being pro at using one, not to brag, your build is not that effective... Your build kills them very slowly, as you only have SoJ and not even Zealot's Fire to do some sort of damage..
The reason the monsters run away is due to a change released around thurs. nov. 10th of last year (saw the date yesterday on a forum sticky, thats how I know it so well...) they updated so if you use a skill, sayt for instance Balthazar's Aura which does 25 dmg (depends on smiting level) each second, they will get hit 2-3 times before running away.. This is called AoE, short for Are of Effect, and if you use zealots fire, then use prot. spirit and breeze back-to-back (one right after another) you might notice the monsters scatter, this is the same reason, AoE.. they made it so if the monsters take multiple damage very quickly, they will scatter, and this nerfed some 55 builds I THINK, but this was over a year ago so it isn't doing anything to your build..
I use a different build, it's quite common, but it has Balt. aura in it and it DOES make them scatter, but if you know how to use the whole build "correctly", it is very efficient, they still scatter, but they are already almost dead if not, dead...
I tweaked a build I found off the internet, just expirement, but the BASIC skills you will always need as a 55 are Balt. Spirit, Mending, Prot. Spirit, and Healing breeze.. The rest are yours to fiddle with, but most of the "great builds" are also the most common, so find something you like, look at my build, it makes the monsters scatter, people may call me stupid or dumb thinking I don't know about the AoE of Balt. Aura, I know about it, and it gets the job done quickly and efficiently, so just ignore them and laugh inside, because honestly, it's all about Personal Preference IMO.. I am not that patient, so I like to kill them faster, I would rather not sit around for 15 mins killing 4 hydra, when I can kill about 7 or 8 in maybe 5 or 6 minutes...

Actually, some long ago AoE Update made monsters flee from AoE Spells. However, SoJ is not considered an AoE Spell. It is some update that (around Nov. 11th 2006) caused melee monsters to flee if they are taking damage from a source that they can avoid, or something like that. It makes the monsters smarter so it is not as easy to farm melee monsters. Such spells include, but are not limited to, Spiteful Spirit, Shield of Judgment, and Vengeful was Khanhei. Try farming ranged monsters instead of melee monsters.
And to answer your question, do not use 2 skills back-to-back. Leave some time after one skill before you use the next skill. That way, your chances of being Interrupted are lessened.

They made the monsters smarter. All melee monsters (trolls, minos, etc) now run if there are more then 3 and they r below 50% hp. They will run away and heal up then come back. They did this to fix farming. You can still farm ranged enemies, they don't run.
